This was to pay for rates for friends. What was the cheque for $1,200 payable "Cash" on 31.8.26?

I had paid watchmen's fees to my private account on 30.8.26 and paid Government my cheque next day.

Why not pay the cash direct to the Government account? That would be as easy as paying to your own. (Pressed as to this).
